The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) brings pioneering pre-hospital care to the scene, rescuing hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year.
Many are surprised to hear the GNAAS is not NHS-funded; instead, the charity relies on donations from the public through fundraising events and collections.
The nearest Hospitals to the Lake District that deal with serious injuries are Lancaster, Carlisle, Newcastle, even Manchester. When time-critical care is required, the Great North Air Ambulance is vital!
Living in the area, we see how frequently the Air Ambulance is airborne, flying overhead, so for us who live locally, walkers and visitors to the Lake District, it’s a valuable service to have and of course help to fund.
We are asking guests who book with us to make a voluntary donation, which they can do during the booking process. For every £ donated, we will match it and add it to the total charity pot.
We believe in the Great North Air Ambulance Service and the lifesaving service they provide daily.
