Positioned on the south western shore of Windermere, the Lake Cruises at Lakeside, The Aquarium of The Lakes, and The Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway are less than a mile away. You can sail from Lakeside to Bowness on Windermere, Brockhole and Ambleside. Hawkshead and the popular Grizedale Forest are both around 10 minutes in the car.
The apartment also has shared use of the mansion’s extensive, well-tended gardens. On sunny days, head outside and soak up the views across the lawns; a perfect place for a picnic with a morning coffee, G&T or a bottle of wine or go for a dip in the Lake if you are brave enough!

Hilltop, Beatrix Potter’s home is a short drive away in Near Sawrey and you can now also visit Donald Campbell’s famous Bluebird in Coniston.
