About the location

Fearby is a quaint Dales village near Masham, surrounded by stunning scenery that includes the Nidderdale Area of outstanding natural beauty. The Yorkshire village is made up of various stone-built properties and farmsteads that benefit from a superb local pub serving fine local ales and excellent cuisine.

The location is ideal to use as a base from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales to the west and the North York Moors and Yorkshire Coast to the east. In and around the village are a good selection of walks along footpaths and bridleways.

The market town of Masham is situated 2-miles away in lower Wensleydale, alongside the River Ure. The town is popular for the Wednesday and Saturday markets and the ten-mile walk along the Ure, arguably one of the best walks in the UK.

Masham is also home to two breweries; Theakstons of Old Peculiar fame, and more recently the Black Sheep Brewery, which now brews 11 million pints of beer a year!

The popular towns of Ripon and Harrogate are an easy drive away. With so much to see and do in the area, this is a great place for a holiday in all seasons.
