Lodge On The Lake

Bowness-on-Windermere
Sleeps 6
Bedrooms 3

The relaxing sound of the water lapping on the shore, the utterly glorious panoramic views of Lake Windermere and the fells beyond, all from your private decking; this is what to expect when you stay at Lodge on the Lake. A stunning three-bedroom lodge in a quiet corner of Fallbarrow Holiday Park offers guests a truly magnificent Lake District Lodge Holiday.

With three lovely bedrooms, Lodge on the Lake is perfect for a family holiday or perhaps a getaway with friends. The lodge sits on the lake shore, with the water lapping at the foot of the decking. Fancy a swim or a paddle in your kayak or canoe? No problem - step down off the deck to your own private section of the lakeshore beach.

The front section of the lodge, benefitting from the Lake Views, is open-plan, comprising the living area, dining area, and kitchen, complete with modern appliances. Slide back the two large patio doors to extend the living space to the outside - perfect for a few drinks or perhaps alfresco dining.

Of course, you don't need to cook (you are on holiday after all); Bowness-on Windermere is less than 10 minutes walk away from the lodge, where you will find a superb choice of restaurants, bars, trendy cafes and Bowness Pier for the Windermere Lake Cruises from where you can sail north to Brockhole and Ambleside or south to Lakeside.

I digress. Back to the lodge: In the rear section are the three bedrooms: the main en suite bedroom, a double bedroom, and a twin bedroom. All the bedrooms have great mattresses, offering a peaceful night's sleep. The shower room has a shower, a toilet, a basin with a vanity cupboard and an electric towel rail.

Outside the lodge, there is parking for one car, possibly two, depending on the size of the vehicles, and additional free parking is available at reception. We must stress that charging EV vehicles is not permitted due to the limited power supply to the lodges, but there is an EV charger at the main entrance to the Park if required. The L-shaped decking provides ample outside space with a fantastic hammock, plus two sets of outdoor garden furniture with cushions. The enclosed patio is west-facing, benefiting from the afternoon sun and some great sunsets.

We love this lodge - the views, amenities, and comfort are all top-notch. We are sure that you will agree and have a fantastic holiday.
